Jesus Leads Us

Recently, we have been hearing about Jesus and his ministry teaching his disciples. In Luke, Chapter 10, we see the picture of Mary and the disciples “sitting at the feet of Jesus.” In Chapter 11, Luke recounts Jesus’ response to the request, “Lord, teach us to pray…” We, like the first disciples, have been reminded of the admonition to be “learners” — and learning at the feet of Jesus is important. And, some of the most important “work” of learning involves us praying.

We have been directed to stick close to Jesus seeking always to follow hom. We have been encouraged to ask, seek, and knock.

Jesus led his first disciples and Jesus leads us now. A good measure for each of us is: what is our proximity of Jesus, how closely are we following him, and what are the prayers we are praying today?

Luke 11:10

Sincerely in Christ,
